The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) established the T20 cricket league known as IPL. The TATA Group is the Title Sponsor of the IPL for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. IPL 16 is also known as “TATA IPL 2023” because it is a spaceship.

IPL 2023 is the 16th season of IPL. According to official sources, the first match of IPL 2023 is going to start on 31st March 2023 and the final match will be held on 28th May 2023.
10 teams will participate in this game, earlier it was played by 8 teams but in 2022 two more teams were added which are Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. A total number of 74 games will be played in IPL 2023.
The IPL auction was held in December last year and all the franchises have prepared their squads accordingly. Double-Robin round format play will be used in the tournament.
Like the previous year, the teams are divided into two groups; each team will play one game with their own group and two games with other groups, home and away.

5. Kolkata Knight Riders
The franchise cricket team known as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) represents Kolkata(the city of Joy). Famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and her Husband Jay Mehta own the franchise. Famous Eden garden is the home ground of the Kolkata Knight Riders team.
KKR is the two times IPL champion (in 2012 & 2014). 10. Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrise Hyderabad is a franchise team based in Hyderabad, Telangana. The franchise is owned by Kalanithi Maran of the SUN Group and was established in 2012. The Current coach of Sunrise Hyderabad is Brian Lara of the team and Aiden Markram is the newly appointed captain for the upcoming season.
